the introduction
Meant to take one simple photo last night of a lamp in a residential setting to use at work.
Sometimes I get a little carried away.
Also, it seems that I need to dust.

so metropolitan
Desperately needed more magnets for my fridge. So I bought some magnet backs, broke out the hot glue gun, and problem solved.
Knew I collected those admission buttons for a reason.
I miss you, Met.

henna arm
P.S. It's much harder than you would think to take a picture of your own forearm when you have to hold the camera so far away to get it in focus that you can't look through the viewfinder.

lucky day
Looked for four leaf clovers today. Stopped looking at ten.
I feel a little bit triumphant, and a little bit like I may have just wasted a whole lot of luck on clovers, rather than something more substantial, such as, perhaps, I don't know, the lottery? Vegas? Finding a unicorn?
(P.S. Despite a few of them looking a little wonky in the picture, they are all bonafide four-leafers. I promise.)

mail is a lovely thing
Anyone else follow the Today I Saw blog? It's très splendid. Essentially she sees something of interest every day, draws it on a postcard, and sends it to someone. AND TODAY I SAW A POSTCARD IN MY MAILBOX.
Made my day. Also, the suitcases are quite fitting considering my past year and a half, no?

my haul
Received a very heavy package (or maybe I'm just that wimpy) in the mail today, courtesy of one of my favorite blogs, Forgotten Bookmarks. And Lady Luck.
Thirteen books total, all Classics Club volumes, most published in the '40s and '50s.
Very good day.
I need more bookshelves.

how to climb a tree
Step 1: Find a tree.
Step 2: Move upwards by any means possible.
Step 3: Look down. Why else climb a tree if not to see how things look from up a tree?
