brownie baby

Easily the cutest camera in my collection (most recent count: 21), I took this li'l Kodak Brownie Flash Six-20* out for the first time last month at our family reunion.

Just got the film back in the mail today, and it worked splendidly.

Below, some of my relatives circa 1908 (top), and in 2010 (bottom).

These photos were taken at a spot that was once known locally as "The Steps," reached only by a hike through the woods (and up a creek).

*This model was sold between 1940-1954 (I don't know when exactly this particular camera was purchased originally), and takes eight 6x9cm exposures on 620 film.

latest card

Wedding this weekend (congrats guys!).

Used my new stamp on the back, but pressed too hard and caught the left edge of the stamp on the paper, too.

But don't worry, I fixed it.

flashy flash

Went to the Post Office and retrieved a lovely package today: a brand new flashy flash. (Dare I admit it?) The first flash I have ever purchased, in the whole course of my life.*

So far, it's flaweshome.

Yes, I know. Word mash-up fail.

* If you do not yet know this about me, you should: phrases from Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice regularly, uh, spew, unbidden, from my mouth. Usually, people don't notice, or just think I'm a strange person, using turns-of-phrase from two centuries ago. Luckily for you, the interwebs oblige in explanation. I suppose this all still makes me a strange person. Oh, well.
